About The Woodlands Wedding Venue:
The Woodlands is built on 52 acres in Morrison, Colorado. It’s only 30 minutes from downtown Denver, in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains, making it one of the most accessible mountain venues in Colorado!
After a husband and wife team chased their dreams of designing, building, and operating their own wedding venue, The Woodlands finally opened its doors in 2019. It’s clear how much hard work and attention to detail they put into creating this modern-industrial style wedding venue.
The Woodlands is the perfect place for your modern, mountain wedding! From the whitewashed interior with black details to the the large sliding doors on either end, opening up to the ceremony area overlooking mountain views. In addition to the main indoor space, it also has a fully covered and heated side patio. The ideal place for cocktails, no matter the weather! The property also includes bridal and groom suites. So it makes wedding day logistics seamless from the start of your day to celebrating at the end of the night.
If you rent this venue for your wedding day, then you have exclusive use of the venue facilities from 12:00pm – 11:00pm. But since this venue is in the mountains, all wedding festivities need to end by 10:00pm due to a noise restriction. When it comes to setup and tear down, the Woodlands staff takes care of it all so you and your family can just enjoy!

During Madison’s first look, she iced her bridesmaids. She iced a few more people throughout the wedding day too!
Also, Madison’s grandma was her Maid of Honor. HOW SWEET?! 🥹
The grooms friend “crashed” his first look. After Caleb did this at one of his best friends weddings a few years ago, it was time the favor was returned ha!
Before the ceremony, Madison and Caleb had a time of worship with their wedding party and immediate family. It was an intentional and meaningful way to gather together before starting their ceremony!
During their ceremony, Caleb and Madison served communion to their wedding party. All their guests joined in too!

After their dreamy wedding portraits, they had fun attire change before their reception entrance. The entire wedding party, including the bride and groom, changed into sweatsuits! Madison and Caleb even threw t-shirts to the guests upon their entrance. Such a fun way to kick off the rest of the wedding day celebration!
Instead of a traditional DJ or band, they decided to do a silent disco. If you’ve never heard of it, all the guests wear headphones and listen to the same music. So if you’re not wearing headphones, you can’t hear the music since it’s not being played outloud. It’s a super unique reception activity!
