I’m a big fan of neutrals, maybe even HUGE fan. For this special Colorado elopement, the inspiration was color, color, and more colors.

Our inspiration was the idea that although neutrals and greenery are amazing, and trending, pops of colors, especially surrounded by all the greenery in nature is also gorgeous. Leveraging Mother Nature can make a huge impact on the overall design. It’s also a huge help for those budget conscious couples. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good neutral color palette for an elopement. But when you use color to bring out the beauty of the greenery surrounding, that is where some gorgeous magic can happen.

We used bright colors in the florals, grooms’ suit, as well as the lounge set to ensure the couples’ day stood out against every other Colorado elopement. In order to not be overwhelmed with all the colors, we simplified the table with whites and grey tones but mismatched the chairs. The florist, Urban Canyon Floristry, built a floral garland to add a little personal touch and tie in that pop of color.

We ended the night driving up to Mount Evans and taking pictures, dancing into the sunset, and enjoying the beauty that Colorado has to offer. Count me in for a Colorado elopement, always.
